NJ.com: Rutgers Hires Former Andy Warhol Museum Director to Lead the Zimmerli Art Museum

NEW BRUNSWICK — The former director of Pittsburgh’s Andy Warhol Museum is coming to Rutgers to lead its art museum.

Thomas Sokolowski, who led the Warhol museum from 1996 to 2010, will begin his tenure as director of the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum next month, the university announced Wednesday.

“It is both an honor and a thrill to be chosen to lead this exceptional institution, which seems to me to bring together all of the artistic, scholarly, educational and civic strands of my career,” Sokolowski said.
