TRENTON — A city man convicted of first-degree murder and related crimes was sentenced to 70 years in prison Friday.
Randy Washington, 35, of Trenton was convicted in July of murdering 64-year-old Silas Johnson Jr. under a Route 1 overpass in October 2014.
“My father always told me to keep hope alive,” Johnson’s son Silas Kevin Green said when addressing the court.
Green said that although he felt like justice was being served Washington, who did not appear in court, has shown no remorse for his actions.
