Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Route 73

MAPLE SHADE TWP. — A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Maple Shade Township early Sunday morning.

Maple Shade Township Police said the person was struck in front of The Clover Motel on Route 73 in Maple Shade Township.

The pedestrian was transported by paramedics to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with very serious injuries. The person’s condition is not known at this time.

Route 73 was closed in both directions while officials investigated the cause of the accident.
