Hispanic Heritage Month celebrated at Jersey City festival (PHOTO)

JERSEY CITY — Hispanic Heritage Month began on Friday and a festival was held on Friday night to begin the celebrations. 

The Hispanic Heritage Festival, sponsored by the city, was held at Pershing Field from 6 to 9 p.m. 

Hundreds of children and adults alike attended the festival that featured food, games for children, plenty of dancing. 

Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 each year.
