Closer to answers on N.J. jail's suicides | Editorial

Those with little or no faith in our justice system surely were surprised to read that three Cumberland County corrections officers have just been charged criminally in connection with two recent inmate suicides at the county jail.

The deaths, both occurring earlier in 2017, are among a troubling pattern of six deaths of prisoners in county custody in fewer than three years.
