Roller skating rink opens in Jersey City park

The Jersey City Department of Recreation held the grand opening of the Pershing Field Roller Skating Rink this afternoon, an unseasonably warm day just before the end of summer.

Residents of all ages were encouraged to come out to visit Jersey City’s first city roller skating rink, located at 807 Summit Ave., the Charlie Heger Ice Rink.

“So far it’s going great,” said Lizmarie Mateo, a Jersey City resident. “A lot of kids are going to have a lot of fun.”
