Newark man charged with having 2 guns, heroin, cocaine, pot

NEWARK — A 29-year-old Newark man was arrested Friday for possession of what police said was a dangerous combination of two handguns, heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

In response to citizen complaints of drug dealing, Newark Police detectives that were part of an Essex County Prosecutor’s Office narcotics task force armed with a search warrant raided a home on the 100 block of Sherman Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose announced on Saturday.
