HOBOKEN — Freeholder Anthony Romano can run for mayor of Hoboken and for re-election to his freeholder seat, a state judge ruled Friday.
Superior Court Judge Peter Bariso denied a request for an injunction that would have barred Romano from appearing on the ballot for mayor in the city’s non-partisan elections on Nov. 7. Romano will also be on the ballot as the incumbent Democratic candidate for the District 5 seat on the Hudson County Board of Freeholders.
