3 seriously hurt after car crashes into a tree in Allentown, police say

ALLENTOWN — Three people suffered serious injuries Tuesday morning after a car that was struck by a passing vehicle crashed into a tree, police said.

A 2000 Toyota Camry was driving southbound on Route 539 when it was struck from behind by a 2017 Ford Mustang convertible around 7:30 a.m., said Lt. Ted Schafer, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police.
