Vineland remembers those who died on 9/11 with ceremony

VINELAND — The people of Vineland remembered those who died during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2011 with a Patriot’s Day ceremony held outside of the Vineland Fire Department’s headquarters.

A number of emergency responders and residents gathered together to remember the people who died in New York City, Washington D.C. and Schwenksville along with the first responders who went to the sites.

Vineland Mayor Anthony Fanucci, retired Captain Robert Scarpa, and other dignitaries spoke to the crowd on hand. The Fireman’s Prayer was recited as well as the ringing of the bell in remembrance of those who died.
