Sea Girt officials need help identifying rescued surfer

SEA GIRT — Officials are asking for the public to help them identify a surfer who suffered a medical episode in Sea Girt Tuesday afternoon.

Sea Girt lifeguards responded around 1:10 p.m. to a 911 call for a person on the beach in distress and possibly having a medical episode.  

Lifeguards arrived to find a surfer at the edge of the water with a couple people who had helped him up, according to Tim Harmon, the chief lifeguard in Sea Girt.
