Passaic County sheriff shows off two new hybrid vehicles

The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office became the first law enforcement agency in the county to have hybrid electric vehicles in its fleet on Tuesday. Sheriff Richard Berdnik unveiled two new 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid cars in front of the Passaic County administration building late this morning.

Berdnik said the vehicles will produce “substantial” savings for Passaic County taxpayers. Both vehicles cost approximately $47,000 and are being covered using civil processing fees.
