Man injured after Monday night shooting in Bridgeton

BRIDGETON — A shooting in Bridgeton sent one person to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Bridgeton Police say that they were called to the Inspira Health Center in Bridgeton around 11 p.m. Monday night after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.

The victim told police he was sitting on a porch near Magnolia Avenue when a black Jaguar pulled to the side of the road. Two people got out and approached him. One of the suspects was allegedly holding a handgun, police said. 

Police say that the victim began to run and he heard a gunshot and subsequently felt some pain in his leg. …read more
