Hunterdon County receives $865K in state, federal money

FLEMINGTON – The county will receive over $865,000 this year to help fund services, including those mandated by New Jersey.

The freeholders on Sept. 5 took action to receive the funding.

“These grant funds help the county to deliver services, often mandated by the state, and reduce the amount that must be borne through property taxes,” Freeholder Director John Lanza said. “Congratulations are due all round to the finance director and all the departments for successfully navigating what is the maze of the state and federal grant process.”
