Man admitted to stealing lawn equipment during Sussex burglary spree

NEWTON — A 21-year-old man admitted Thursday to going on a burglary spree in Wantage and Sussex Borough over the course of several days in May, authorities said.

The locations burglarized included the Sussex Borough Department of Public Works garage.

Darian M. Perkins, of Sussex Borough, pleaded guilty to four counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree theft and one count of fourth-degree theft, the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release.

Perkins admitted to burglarizing the Sussex Borough DPW garage and stealing various items from the garage, the prosecutor’s office said.
