Duo sentenced to 27 years in Craigslist robbery-turned-murder

ELIZABETH — Two men who pleaded guilty to a 2014 attempted robbery that turned into the murder of a Brooklyn man have each been sentenced to 27 years in prison, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park said Monday.

Ali Garner, 31 and Keon Lewis, 32, both of Elizabeth, must serve at least 85 percent of their sentences before the possibility of parole under the terms set Friday by state Superior Court Judge Robert Kirsch.
