New York cowboy is top money-winner at Cowtown Rodeo

PILESGROVE TWP. — A New York cowboy who placed first in two riding events was the top money-winner at Cowtown Rodeo Saturday night.

Daylon Swearingen, of Piffard, New York, was No. 1 in the bull riding and bareback bronc contests.

He took home $1,801.04 in total prize money for the evening.

Here are the results from Saturday night’s performance. They include the contestant’s name, score or time, and winnings:

Bareback Bronc Riding: First, Daylon Swearingen, 76 score, $485.04; Tim Kent, 69, $323.36.

Saddle Bronc Riding: First, Will Stites, 54 score, $836.60. (Stites’ winnings included $418.30 in ground money.)
