Bridge to Pennsylvania closing for a five-day repair

SANDYSTON — One of the nation’s last remaining privately-owned bridges is closing for five days starting Monday, according to the New Jersey Herald.

The Dingmans Bridge across the Delaware River closes around this time every year for maintenance work, the newspaper reported.

The two-lane bridge will close at 8 a.m Monday and reopen at 4 p.m. Friday, the newspaper reported.

It is owned by the Dingmans Choice and Delaware Bridge Company and connects the Layton section of Sandyston with Delaware Township in Pennsylvania.
