Jersey Shore town to pay $1.58M to bicyclist hit by city vehicle

SEA ISLE CITY — A bicyclist struck by a city-operated vehicle three years ago has been awarded her $1.58 million in her lawsuit against Sea Isle City, according to a report. 

Rhonda Martin, now 58, broke her left elbow, tore her left rotator cuff and tore ligaments in her left wrist after being hit on July 23, 2014, the NJLawJournal.com report said.

Martin, of North Wales, Pa. was riding south on Landis Avenue near the Townsends Inlet Bridge when city employee Jeffrey Jones drifted right and struck her, 

Martin had surgery and underwent therapy for two years.
