Boardwalk Mister Softee stand reportedly closes after lawsuit pressure

WILDWOOD — A lawsuit against a boardwalk ice cream merchant claiming that he was improperly using the Mister Softee name on two stands has resulted in the closure of one stand and the renaming of another, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

Runnemede-based Mister Softee Inc. sued Carl Gallucci, who operates the stands at 3118 and 3806 Boardwalk in Wildwood, claiming that Gallucci lost the right to use their name after he failed to pay his royalty fees.
