Jersey City anti-violence basketball tournament fosters sense of community

JERSEY CITY – The sixth annual Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament at Sacred Heart School in Jersey City sent out a message of good will and community and was a respite from the streets.

Music blasted and sneakers screeched in the school gym as teams squared off against each other. Organizers gave away school supplies to children and free chicken and pizza was available for player and those in the bleachers.
