Woman gets 6 years for role in multi-state jewel theft ring

TRENTON — A woman who admitted to stealing $219,800 worth of property as a member of an organized, multi-state jewel theft ring was sentenced Friday to six years in prison.

Angie Rodriguez, 29, of Flushing, N.Y., had pleaded guilty to a second-degree theft charge in April, in Mercer County Superior Court.

Authorities say Rodriguez was a member of seven-person theft ring that was based in New York, but targeted jewelry heists in six states.
