Princeton grads step in to help Tribe fight the power

A start-up comprised of Princeton University graduates has donated an alternative power unit to the Ramapough Lenape Tribe to use on their disputed Mahwah prayer ground.

The 13-acre property, located at the base of a wealthy housing development, has been the source of controversy between residents, town officials and the tribe.

A case is pending in Superior Court in which town officials are seeking to stop the tribe from having teepees and other structures on the site because, officials say, they violate zoning laws
