91-year-old driver plows through garage and house, injuring driver

MEDFORD TWP. — A 91-year-old woman was injured and a township house deemed unlivable after her car crashed through it Wednesday.

Medford police said in a released that Anna Pompeana, of Cherry Hill, was attempting to pull into the driveway of a house on Hartford Road at 11:16 a.m. when her Lincoln MKZ “suddenly picked up speed” and hit the garage.

The car went through the garage’s exterior wall and continued through the interior wall of the house. Firefighters and EMTs from Medford, Evesham and Mount Laurel responded and Pompeana was taken to Virtua Hospital in Marlton with a broken nose, a laceration on her …read more
