Role of Penn State athletic trainer in hazing death debated in court

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Defense attorneys questioned the role Tim Bream, head athletic trainer and assistant athletic director of Penn State’s Nittany Lions, played the night a pledge was fatally injured after an alcohol-fueled hazing, according to pennlive.

Bream, who served as Beta Theta Pi’s advisor, was present the February night a heavily-intoxicated Timothy Piazza, 19, of Hunterdon County, fell head-first down a set of basement stairs during a bid acceptance party.
