Pickup truck strikes, damages Pennsville home

PENNSVILLE TWP. — A man has been ticketed for careless driving after striking a house in a township neighborhood, authorities said.

The incident took place shortly after noon on Canterbury Drive Wednesday.

According to police, a man backing a pickup truck out of his driveway stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake.

The pickup went into a neighboring yard and damaged a brick flower bed and struck the front of a home damaging the siding and breaking a window.

Homeowner Wade Rosenberger said an estimate of the damage hadn’t yet been tallied.

No one was reported injured in the incident.
