Nurse accused of sexually assaulting patients loses license for now

PERTH AMBOY — A nurse accused of sexually assaulting two female patients has been stripped of his license temporarily, officials said. 

Wilber Hernandez, 29, of Perth Amboy, was charged last month with second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree criminal sexual assault, according to authorities. 

The suspension is temporary pending the outcome of his charges, according to Attorney General Christopher S. Porrino, who said in a release that the Board of Nursing may take further disciplinary actions against the nurse.
