Man faces DUI charge after 2-vehicle crash on I-295, state police say

OLDMANS TWP. — A Gloucester County man was charged with driving under the influence after an early-morning crash Thursday on Interstate 295, state police say.

One of those injured in the accident was airlifted from the scene to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, according to New Jersey State Police Spokesman Lt. Ted Schafer.

The accident, which was first reported at 1:50 a.m., took place in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Milepost 6.4, Schafer said.

A Ford Mustang and a Mitsubishi Gallant were involved in the accident.

In all, there were five people in the two vehicles, Schafer said.
