Crash leaves 2 seriously injured, police say

EAST BRUNSWICK — Two women were seriously injured in a car crash Wednesday evening in town, according to police. 

The two-car accident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. when a 72-year-old East Brunswick woman turned left in her 2005 Ford Focus on Winton Road and was hit by an SUV driven by a 55-year-old of Milltown, Lt. Sean Goggins said. 

Both women were taken to Robert Wood Johnson for serious injuries, according to Goggins. The two were in stable condition as of Thursday afternoon, Goggins said.

An underage passenger in the 2009 Honda CRV was uninjured, the police report said. 

The accident is still under investigation. …read more
