30 Japanese exchange students hosted by Phillipsburg Rotary

The Phillipsburg Rotary Club recently hosted 30 Japanese exchange students in an effort to exchange knowledge about languages and cultures.

The students were hosted by members during the first week of August as part of the Ross Redmond short term exchange program.

Club members held a ceremony during an Aug. 2 barbecue at the Flynn’s on the Hill outdoor pavilion.

During the event, Phillipsburg Rotary Club President Todd Tersigni and Japanese Group leader Mikio Kadota exchanged country flags. Students also shared flags from their respective rotary districts.
