Salem County Fair opening fit for a (new) queen (PHOTOS)

PILESGROVE TWP. — Thousands turned out on what was a perfect weather night for the opening of the 58th Salem County Fair.

Along with the traditional ribbon-cutting by a gathering of state, county and local officials, there was the crowning of a new Salem County Fair Queen.

The 2016 winner, Jacelyn Rudderow, crowned Isabella Briseno as the 2017 queen. Briseno also was named Miss Congeniality from among the seven contestants.

Katie Ridgway was first runner-up and Emily Plummer was second runner-up in the contest.
