Man threatened security with knife during robbery at Kohl's, cops say

EVESHAM — A man who robbed a Kohl’s and threatened to stab a security guard with a knife, was later apprehended, according to police. 

Waverly Smith, 51, was arrested and charged with third degree robbery and third degree forgery, Evesham Township Police said. 

Police responded to reports of a robbery at the Kohl’s on Route 70 just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Staff reported that a man was taking clothing and then threatened security, according to police. 

Police located the suspect, identified as Smith of Burlington Township, driving west on Route 70, nearing the Camden County line.
