Small plane crashes, catches fire in Hunterdon County

FRANKLIN TWP — A small plane crashed and caught fire late Saturday night in Franklin Township, according to officials.

The Piper PA-28 took off from Blairstown Airport and was headed to Sky Manor Airport when it went down at 10:45 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The crash occurred about a half-mile northeast of the Sky Manor Airport.

Quakertown Fire Company firefighters and emergency medical crews responded to scene on Pittstown Road, where they found “multiple patients,” the department said in a statement on Facebook.
