Contractor gets 7 years in prison for construction fraud

CAPE MAY COUNTY — A contractor who performed fraudulent construction work was Friday sentenced to seven years in prison.

A judge also ordered Kevin Crafton to pay $500,000 in restitution, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office said in a release.

Authorities received complaints about Crafton’s company, All City Construction, in May 2014 and May 2015. He was arrested on theft and forgery charges in June 2016 before jumping bail.

He was taken into custody in May by State Police from the Woodbine barracks, according to Cape May County jail records.
