This town welcomed new neighbor, a disabled vet, with way more than a covered dish

SOUTH HARRISON TWP. — When someone new moves to town, neighbors often welcome them with baked goods and a hearty handshake.

A South Jersey community decided its newest resident needed something more and greeted him with a parade and a party on Monday afternoon.

Disabled Navy veteran Timothy Birckhead arrived at his new home on Victoria Lane following a procession through Mullica Hill.
