'Leader' of violent multi-county drug ring indicted in 2 murders; 6 others face charges

JERSEY CITY — A 31-year-old Jersey City man is among seven people who have been indicted in a violent, multi-county drug ring, authorities announced Monday. 

Golden Williamson, of Jersey City, is the alleged leader of a drug trafficking network in Hudson, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. He has also been charged with two separate murders in Jersey City, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.

In the 79-count indictment handed up by a grand jury on July 12, Williamson was named as the suspect wanted for killing Byungeun Lee inside his Journal Square store in Dec. 2015, Suarez said.
