Bone pieces in hot dogs lead to 7.2M-pound recall of Sabrett products

Millions pounds of the popular Sabrett frankfurters and sausages are being recalled after complaints of pieces of bones in the products, which left one person with a minor mouth injury.

The maker of the brand, Marathon Enterprises Inc., based in Englewood, is recalling nearly 7.2 million pounds of beef and pork hot dogs and sausages produced between March 17 and July 4, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
