A son of Newark breaks ground on South Ward apartments

NEWARK — The son the late Newark City Council President and Assemblyman Donald Tucker joined hia mother, the mayor and other current and former officials of Newark and elsewhere Monday, to break ground on a 42-unit apartment complex in the city’s South Ward.

The official launch of work on Kiburi Tucker’s apartment project on Bergen Street was applauded not only as a long-awaited milestone in a six-year effort by a home-grown entrepreneur.
