$1,400 worth of tools taken from Jersey City storage unit, cops say

JERSEY CITY — More than $1,400 worth of tools were stolen from a locked storage unit on Mallory Avenue, police said. 

The 69-year-old victim found his unit at Extra Space Storage had been broken into when he arrived at the facility on Thursday, according to a police report. 

His unit, on the second floor, had pry marks on the door, the report states. 

The items stolen include four drills, a torque wrench, a set of pliers, an assortments of wrenches, and a screw driver. The tools had an estimated value of $1,430. 

No one was arrested and the theft remains under investigation.
