Man killed in head-on crash on Route 347, cops say

DENNIS TOWNSHIP — A man was killed and another was airlifted after a head-on collision Sunday evening on New Jersey Route 347, State Police said. 

The man was pronounced dead on the scene after his Chevrolet Monte Carlo collided with another vehicle at about 5:30 p.m. near mile marker 1.4, State Trooper Lawrence Peele said. His identity hasn’t yet been released.

All lanes in both directions were closed as of 7 p.m., Peele said. 

“Everything is still shut down,” Peele said of the road conditions.
