Brides panic as popular bridal shop Alfred Angelo abruptly closes

CHERRY HILL — Popular bridal shop Alfred Angelo has closed its Cherry Hill location as part of an abrupt nationwide shutdown late this week, sending brides in New Jersey and across the country scrambling to find wedding dresses.

More than 60 shops closed their doors Thursday, with many brides and bridesmaids showing up to try on and pick up gowns only to find signs on the doors saying the stores have closed, according to the New York Times.

The company sold its dresses at another 1,400 retailers across the country.
