Trio busted while breaking into a car in Long Hill, cops say

LONG HILL — Three Somerset County men were arrested on Monday while breaking into a car in the Millington section of the township, police said.

Officers spotted the trio in the Tifa parking lot on Division Avenue at about 10:23 p.m., and, upon further investigation, found that two of them — Brendan Pasternak, 23, of Basking Ridge, and Rubin Medina-Cardenas, 23, of Far Hills — had entered a vehicle that didn’t belong to them, police said in a news release.

Pasternak, police said, also had a locking picking kit in his possession.
