PATCO trains delayed after contractor equipment derailment

CAMDEN — PATCO regional rail lines from Camden County to Philadelphia are running on an emergency schedule Thursday morning after the derailment of contractor equipment, a Delaware River Port Authority spokesman said.

Trains are running approximately every 15 minutes while maintenance crews work to remove the equipment,” said Mike Williams, a DRPA spokesman.

“A piece of contractor construction equipment derailed on the tracks early this morning as it was returning to our maintenance facility in advance of the morning rush hour,” Williams said. “No one was injured.”
