Man killed after 2 motorcycles collide, police say

BASS RIVER TWP — A crash involving two motorcycles left one man dead and a woman injured early Sunday morning, according to New Jersey State Police. 

Two Harley Davidson motorcycles were traveling northbound on Route 9 just before 12:30 a.m. when the following motorcycle crashed into the back of leading one, State Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The following motorcycle then veered off the roadway near mile marker 58, striking a guardrail, he said. 

The driver, Zachary Strang, 26, of West Creek, was pronounced dead at the scene, Goez said. A 27-year-old woman from Ship Bottom who was a passenger on the bike sustained moderate injuries, …read more
