Man burning down 2-story building, cops say

PATERSON – A 20-year-old Paterson man was charged with third-degree arson for starting a fire that burned down a two-story building at 97 East 20th Street, authorities said Friday.

Nathan D. Santana allegedly entered a vehicle parked near the building on June 10 and set it on fire, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Fire Chief Michael Postorino.

The vehicle fire spread to the building, along with two other parked vehicles in the area.

There were no injuries.
