Man charged after tossing drink in cop's face, police say

SALEM — A city man faces numerous charges after allegedly tossing a drink into the face of an officer who was arresting him and then trying to run away, police say.

Clarence T. Jackson, 20, of Anderson Drive in Salem was charged with obstruction, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and violating a city ordinance for having an open container of alcohol in public, according to Salem City Police Lt. Christopher Pew.
