Quakertown Fire Company held its 2017 Memorial Day service

FRANKLIN TWP. – Quakertown Fire Company held its 62nd Memorial Day service at the Franklin Township School in Quakertown on Monday.

Paul Cortellesi of Quakertown Fire Company served as master of ceremonies. The invocation and benediction was by Deacon Anthony Russo of St. Catherine of Siena Church.

Keynote speaker was Tom Keyes, a decorated veteran who served in Iraq. Amanda Craig sang the National Anthem.

A highlight was the presentation of two award-winning essays by Garrett Luling and Julia McPherson in the contest held for eighth-graders at the school.
