WATCH: 60 years later, students right a racist wrong

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP — The Rev. Gilbert H. Caldwell is a veteran of the Civil Rights movement who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and spent years in the Deep South working to overcome racial injustice.

The Asbury Park resident speaks often about his life’s work, sharing stories with the younger generations. For the past two years, he’s spoken to students at Bear Tavern Elementary for MLK Day.
