Judge decides woman charged with human trafficking will remain in jail

SOMERVILLE — A New York woman charged with human trafficking in the alleged use of a teen girl from Somerset County as a prostitute must remain in jail until her trial, Judge Kathy C. Qasim ruled Friday during her detention hearing in Somerset County Superior Court.

Joneigh A. Tempro, 22, of Brentwood was ordered to remain in Somerset County Jail although the county’s pre-detention services recommended that she be released on her own recognizance.
