Inside opening day at the Hoboken Trader Joe's (PHOTOS)

HOBOKEN — The line to get into New Jersey’s newest Trader Joe’s store stretched around the block Friday morning as customers waited for a chance to pick up frozen side dishes and specialty snacks from the Hawaiian-themed supermarket. 

The Hoboken store’s crew members — what the company playfully calls its employees — gathered outside the store at Willow Avenue and 14th Street for a ceremonial lei cutting before they let customers flood the building. Food demonstrations and giveaways followed throughout the day.
